Dr. Edwin Garcia, Jr. is a dynamic leader with a robust background in education, civic engagement, and professional development. Dedicated to transforming lives through education and leadership, Dr. Garcia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Just Rise Edu. He holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, and a Master's in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Garcia's professional journey includes over a decade of experience in education, from teaching to school leadership. As Founder and CEO of Just Rise Edu, he leads an education consulting company focused on school climate and culture, transformative schools, and education justice. His roles as Deputy Mayor of Civic Engagement, IT, and Communications for the City of Passaic, Chairman and Commissioner of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, and Marketing Chairperson for the Passaic Optimist Club showcase his commitment to civic engagement and community development. Prior to public service, he spent over 15 years in private-sector leadership, ranging from Retail Store Manager to IT Regional Manager.

As an award-winning author, Dr. Garcia has written "MY BACKPACK IS HEAVIER THAN YOURS: The Plight of Marginalized Students," which has received the Literary Titan's Gold Book Award, the 2023 International Firebird Book Awards' 1st Place in Education, and achieved Amazon Best Seller status. His upcoming book, "Relentless: A Blueprint to Your Best Self Through Grit," is set for release in fall 2024.
